Just a peek....

Yesterday, Michael and I decided to take a peek inside several of the most luxurious and historic hotels in Paris.  What a fun day!
Our first stop, The Ritz at Place Vendome 15 in the 1st. arr.  Founded by Cesar Ritz with Chef Auguste Escoffier in 1898.  Today it houses the world renown restaurant L'Espadon with Chef Michel Roth at the reins.  Chefs from all over the world come here to attend the Ritz-Escoffier School.  The Ritz Paris is considered one of the most prestigious and luxurious hotels in the world.

Beautiful lobby in Ritz.

On to the Hotel de Crillon located at 10, place de la Condorde at the foot of the Champs-Elysees.
It is one of the oldest luxury hotels in the world. The palace was  commissioned by King Louis XV in 1758.  The Societe du Lourve purchased the property in 1907 and transformed it into a hotel.

Our third stop was at the Plaza Athenee at 25 Av. Montaigne.  Its sits between the Eiffel Tower and the Champs-Elysees.  Opened in 1911 and is where the famed Chef Alain Ducasse choose to put his haute cuisine restaurant.

The last stop of the day was at the George V.  Openning in 1928 at 31, avenue George V, also just off the Champs-Eylsees.
This a  famous luxury hotel run today by the Four Seasons.  All of the flower arrangements at the hotel are designed by the now famous Jeff Letham. Stunning!
Since it was getting late in the day we decided to have a nice cafe and a little chocolate in Le Bar.
Perfect ending of a beautiful tour.
