It's Tuesday.... Let's have champagne!

If we were having doubts that we are in Paris they were definantley cleared up today.  Standing in an amazing palace courtyard with the Louvre on one side and the Tuileries Gardens on the other is truley overwhelming.  Such a beautiful place.
After a visit in the mueseum we headed across the Seine to the 7th arr. to do a bit of window shopping and grab a bite to eat at the Bon Marche.  This is a grand 4 story department store with an attached luxuary food market. Nothing lacking here!
Heading home Michael chooses some coquille St. Jacques (brittany sea scallops) at our local market.  They will go great with a brut champagne we just happen to have chilling at home.

A quick note to my friend Lisa who emailed and asked how my French was going,  I have to say, on bravely stepping up to order during rush hour at our local Boulangerie and the attendant giving me the most ugly contorted face jesture, I guess NOT too well.

rows of chocolate bars
love the pink champagne!
a million preserved fish choices
Invalides dome and a classic metro sign.

The poissioner would not allow Michael to purchas the scallops until he answered a few questions.
When and how they were being cooked.  Were they being served as an appitizer or main course and how many people.  Now, you can have to coquilles!
