Aix-en-Provence to Paris

November, 2015
Our last couple days in Provence we chose to stay in Aix-en-Provence, or what some like to call The City of a Thousand Fountains.  It is also famed for the birthplace and home to the French artist and Post-Impressionist Paul Cezanne.  We loved shopping in the large food and flower markets that are set up daily in different squares around town.  They are truly amazing and some of the prettiest I have visited.

Flower Market in Place de L'Hotel de Ville.

Food Market in Place Richelieu.

Just a couple guys holding up the building.

Polka-Dots and Pizza!

The Cours Mirabeau is the most popular and lively street in Aix. They are beginning to set up the Christmas market on the right.

The famous Aix light at dusk.

We took the TGV up to Paris the next morning for out last days in France.  We like staying on the romantic Ile St Louis which is one of two natural islands in the Seine river in Paris.

Hello from our window.

I'm just gonna park my cool car right here.

A Foggy Morning In Menerbes, Provence

November, 2015

We started our day walking through the dense morning fog in the beautiful stone village Mernerbes, Provence.  It is perched on top of a long ridge overlooking vineyards, cherry orchards and lavender fields.

We returned back to our car and had a chuckle at how LARGE it looks next to the little mini that had parked beside us.  I wanted to throw it on top and take it with us! We were headed up the Limoux area for one more quick hike in the beautiful Luberon before heading to Aix-en-Provence tomorrow.

Back to the car for a tailgate picnic.

A stop in Lourmarin for a cafe'.
