Michael and I are own our way to Peidmont, Italy wine region just outside of Alba for our friends big 50th birthday celebration but took a little detour on the way. We boarded the TGV (fast train) from Paris to Torino, rented a car and head to the Italian Riviera. We only had one day but it was sooo worth it! I have to say that I am so charmed with Italy. La Dolce Vita! Such a beautiful and friendly country with people that REALLY know how to live the good life. After a "pig 3 ways" pizza, bowl of spaghetti with fresh clams and a bottle of Barbaresco wine we are off to a good start, or a coma
