Wine Country Bordeaux

We are back in France! We have made our way back up to the Bordeaux wine region and to our happy surprise its harvest time! It just happens to be a late harvest here this year because of an unfortunate cool and rainy spring. The area is a flurry, filled with hand pickers and tractors buzzing all over the hills. There is an excitement and lovely fruity smell flowing all over the valley! We made a quick first stop in the beautiful town of St. Emilion on our way to the Manoir Astree where we will stay in the middle of the vines for 3 days. (an anniversary treat)

I love when there is an ancient structure in the middle of a vineyard
