Our last couple days in Provence we chose to stay in Aix-en-Provence, or what some like to call The City of a Thousand Fountains. It is also famed for the birthplace and home to the French artist and Post-Impressionist Paul Cezanne. We loved shopping in the large food and flower markets that are set up daily in different squares around town. They are truly amazing and some of the prettiest I have visited.

The Cours Mirabeau is the most popular and lively street in Aix. They are beginning to set up the Christmas market on the right.
The famous Aix light at dusk.
We took the TGV up to Paris the next morning for out last days in France. We like staying on the romantic Ile St Louis which is one of two natural islands in the Seine river in Paris.

I'm just gonna park my cool car right here.
