First stop Lake Como, Italy

Wow! What an amazing place! Our friends Marion and Sam took us out on their boat today to explore  the lake.  We were a bit still jet-lagged but I think the fresh air and a bit of limoncello took care of that! We had lunch at a charming lakeside cafe and feasted on lightly breaded calamari, shaved porcini salad, gnocchi with garlic, olive oil and more porcini(mushroom season!) and the most delicate lemon ravioli ever! Not to mention washing it all down with a crisp white Italian wine.  It was such a great scene over lunch.  Many different languages being spoken, kisses everywhere and all seem to be great friends.  Ahhh.... Itailian life!  After a cool dip in the lake and a nap on the boat we headed back to the house for a quick hike.  Settling in for a simple dinner on the terrace we prepared a green salad with Marions mom's secret  dressing, platter of cheeses and bread we picked up at the morning market and a "Super" Tuscan red.  A perfect day in Lake Como.
